    • Welcome

Welcome to the prayer movement of the central Texas area. We are here to walk with you through prayer encounters with Jesus.
    • Our Mission

We serve the faithful throughout the Diocese of Austin area by offering regular opportunities for spiritual support through healing prayer, programs, workshops, and retreats. This Movement establishes and maintains an organization that forms and trains prayer ministers, that schedules and advertises prayer opportunities, and that provides spiritual growth and personal healing opportunities through programs, workshops and retreats. These prayer sessions and programs will equip, enable, and encourage the faithful through encounters with a loving Father.

    • About The prayer movement

God has been forming a movement to help heal His people and bring them into intimacy with God using the gifts He passed on through the Holy Spirit since the day He ascended into Heaven. He wants people to understand the good news of a God who loves them, wants them healed, and to not just survive, but thrive. This movement of prayer through the centuries has taken many forms through many ministries, culminating in what we now call Healing Prayer. This movement is one that is world wide, where ministries provide Physical, Inner, Spiritual and Deliverance healing prayer through the power of the Holy Spirit.

As an extension of Jesus’ own healing ministry[1], of his continual abiding in prayer to discern and follow the will of the Father[2], and of his provision of the Holy Spirit to inspire and guide his followers[3], the Ministry believes:

      • Jesus is the source of all healing. He heals, we facilitate healing.
      • Jesus calls participants to be formed to “go and do likewise”[4]. He calls, we discern our call, and undergo formation/training to serve.
      • Jesus is the model of prayerful discernment of the Father’s will. All our efforts will be brought to prayer and discerned, with the help of our Spiritual Director, according to God’s will.
      • The Holy Spirit is the animator, guide, and inspiration of this Ministry. We place our efforts under His guidance.
      • The Bishop of the Diocese of Austin is our spiritual shepherd and we follow him in full obedience.

The board/leadership team/ministers of the Mercy of God Prayer Center believe that prayer expresses and fulfills the soul’s deep need to be in relationship with God. Having experienced God's transforming presence and healing in our own lives, we seek to bring to others what we ourselves have received[5]: providing a listening, caring, and companioning presence to those who seek God’s healing through prayer.
[1]“Jesus was going through all the cities and villages…healing every kind of disease and…sickness.” Matthew 19:2
[2]"For I have come…[to do] the will of the One who sent me.” John 6:38
[3]“When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth that proceeds from the Father, he will testify to me.” John 15:26
