A Divine Mercy Cenacle is a group of people who meet weekly for song, prayer, and discussion on Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the Diary of St. Maria Faustina, as a small Christian community. The Cenacles empower us to do the corporate and spiritual works of mercy.
Our mission is to encourage devotion to this Message of God’s Mercy which Saint John Paul II said had influenced his Papacy. Cenacles of EADM have been established in many parishes . At the prayer center, many have participated and engaged in the Cenacles of Divine Mercy which have sprouted out to different parishes in the Diocese. The devotion consists of studying the following material:
Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated in several parishes. Deeds of Mercy include Communion to the home bound, prayers for the sick and dying. Our Lady of Guadalupe Divine Mercy Center hosted many days of reflection and retreats at parishes over the years, as well as at our prayer center.
Holy Mass when priest are available. Eucharistic Adoration monthly.
One who consciously and voluntarily offers up prayers and physical sufferings to God for accomplishing our mission.
For those who have experienced a Renewal of Faith by participating in CHRP, ACTS, Cursillo, Charismatic Renewal, College Awakening Programs, etc.
Program offers a deepening of one’s faith through the Ignatian Exercises in a 28-step format over Four Semesters paralleling the Life of Christ in the Scriptures. It provides for healing of unresolved issues in one’s life through Repentance, Forgiveness, Guilt/Regret, Anger, Grief, Judgment, Healing of Identity, Relationships, to name a few topics.
