The Mercy of God Prayer Center, Inc. has been serving in the Catholic Diocese of Austin, Texas since 1981. We are a Lay Catholic Evangelization and Healing Ministry, one of fifteen Centers known as the Society of Our Lady of Guadalupe, International. Three Centers are located in the United States, ten in Mexico, one in Costa Rica, and one in Spain. The Founding Apostolic Director is Rev. James Wheeler, S.J. of the New York Province of Jesuits, USA. The Centers were founded by Fr. Wheeler in 1972.
We have been working since 1990 as a Spanish Ministry in the Mercy of God Prayer Center under the direction of Ginny Antaya.
In 2012, the Spanish community expanded and became Our Lady of Guadalupe Divine Mercy Center located at 17 Mustang Meadow Run in Dale, Texas.
Our main goal is to shadow the New Evangelization which calls each of us to deepen our faith, believe in the Gospel message and go forth to live and proclaim the Gospel.
God has been forming a movement to help heal His people and bring them into intiacy with God using the gifts He passed on through the Holy Spirit since the day He ascended into Heaven. He wants people to understand the good news of a God who loves them, wants them healed and to not just survive but thrive. This movement of prayer through the centuries has taken many forms through many ministries culminating in what we now call Healing Prayer. This movement is one that is world wide where ministries provide Physical, Inner, Spiritual and Deliverance healing prayer through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Under the direction of Fr Charlie Garza, a team of like minded individuals from various parishes in the diocese formed to combine efforts to grow and establish healing prayer in their prospective parishes and the diocese. This group was formed in 2021.
